The reason people stud only in the middle are:

• 1) track damage from studs seems to occur much more often on the outside portion of the track
  2) you can still slide the back end a little

I did 96 down the middle last season and couldn't be happier. No track or stud damage.

PS. I ran 96 Roetin's down the center as well. If you do alot of trail 96 is plenty.
