I just got back from a 2 1/2 hour ride (each way) to pick up a lightly used mpi turbo(1000km)!!!! I'm pretty pumped and can't wait to get her blowing!!!!
I picked it up for a little over 2000$ Canadian... it came with clutching and gauges!!
In the morning I will make a parts list and making sure I have all hardware necessary before installing. I did a fast check tonight and seem to have most of the parts except for the plug for the air/oil separator modification and the little white plastic manifold that connects the 3 hoses to the throttle body is broke!
I also have a little bonus with the kit it came with a eabc!! When I talk to the guy he said it didn't have the eabc
the turbo was install and removed by a Yamaha dealership
here is some pics!!

Man everyone is either turbo or Sidewinder! Congratulations
At least you aren't sitting on your hands for a month cannondale.

Marc, get that thing in ASAP. You're gonna love it. I remember your post about looking at this thing, glad it didn't disappoint.

so far so good with the kit everything is accounted for except for the 5/8 hose plug(going to a automotive to see if the have any) and the shims for oil separator drain mod (shims to get the proper angle for the fitting) might get lucky and not need any
and the white plastic manifold for the bypass valve plumbing( again I will check if automotive store if they have a 3/16 5way tee)
going to automotive store shortly hopehully they have everything I need then I'll start the install!! if not I will have to order from mpi and wait

Congrats on the score! I never understood why a guy would use a gauge that reads 3-5x the scale at which you would operate? I would think a 15 psi gauge would be max and a 10 psi ideal.

I switched to a digital. That split second of figuring out where you are on the gauge doesn't instill confidence on the trail. Look into the AEM one that matches maybe?

Six of one half dozen of another. I prefer good old mechanical gauges to the transducer type. Digital is nice for a peak recall and instant number recognition, but analog you have needle proximity (rotate to put your target at 12 oclock) and more stability especially if the digital has a high refresh rate.

That cobalt is WAY easier to read than the autometer I had. I also didn't have vacuum like that gauge does.

Digital offers some interesting options tho. Mine is a failsafe which you can set the parameters to open or close a circuit. I haven't done anything yet but I've toyed with the idea of sounding the reverse alarm at AFRs >12 and boost over 5.5 but I think it's probably one of those toys that sounds better than it works. HAHA.
