Was wondering if anyone could recommend which pair of aftermarket skis are the best to add on. I just picked up a used 2010 nytro fx, and I've read alot that it is almost a must as an add on (the skis). I will be doing probably 90% trail riding, maybe 10% field, off trail. Thanks for any help, I know there are alot of very knowlegable riders on this site.

Thanks again![/b]

lots of good options out there. The best trail ski I've owned for trail are C&As. But I'm sure you'll get lots of answers on this.

i would do nothing until u ride it. I was thinking that i needed to buy ski when i purchased the sled. However i held off and one year later im still using factory skiis. There is a learning to curve to riding the Nytro fast. If you are al about climbing all over the sled to actively get it to turn you will be able to compensate for the weak skiis. I like riding like this however if you bacome tired and les active you will notice theinferior skiis

i went with slydogs, only a handful of miles but so far they are badass. the sleds confidence is WAY up immediately, didnt even adjust susp. (i had changed it from stock earlier however). from what ive read it seems c&a's or slydogs are the way to go

Arrow skis made a huge difference on my 2010. Very happy with them. They track well, do not hunt much, do not dart and turn very easy........

Curve XS with Leading Edge - completely changed the way my sled handles and steers. Completely.

As if the $10,000 for the sled wasnt enough now you gotta buy ski's to make it drive right. Oh and dont forget the yamaheaters, ball joints, hyfaxes, and tunnel block off plate! Come on Yamaha you need to quit crapping in the mouths of the public and address these issues!

I like my SLP Powder Pros ;)!

What carbides are you running in the powder pros? I checked the other day and they only had shaper bars...not sure if i'm a fan of those or not. A couple of my buddies think they'll be too aggresive for the nytro.

I posted a similar question, what I decided on was arrow ski (kimpex)
its a dual carbide ski, relatively inexpensive, huge difference, I recommend it

C&A, CURVE AND SIMMONS ARE ALL GOOD.

c&a are very aggressive and will give you great cornering and flotation, but will add steering pressure.

simmons are more user friendly but not as aggressive.

My son is using curves skis this year and likes them.
