just got a 2010 nytro...help!

I really appreciate the responses. Another question, could I just get dual carbides for the stock yamaha skis to help with the darting and control? thx!

I had C&A Razors on, and they are very aggressive but work very well. They turned quite hard tho.

Revalved the rear shocks at the beginning of this year and it made a huge difference in steering effort, cornering and just flat out handled better.

I keep repeating it, but #1 thing on your list should be to revalve your rear shocks with some good progressive valving for your weight and riding style. After your shocks and suspension work how they should, then you can decide how aggressive of a ski you need...if you even need new skis.

I just upgraded from a 2008 FX Nytro to a 2011 Nytro XTX. I'll tell ya that the C&A Pro XTX's were awesome. They're a little taller ski which initially makes them heavy to turn so all you have to do is snug the rear limiter strap on the rear suspension a notch or two and they ride PERFECT!

Yamaski's suck. Sorry but they just don't work. In powder they dive and on the trail they don't turn.

I run 7" slydogs with 7.5 in carbide shaper bars and the combo absolutely tranformed the sled. Going from 4" carbides to 7.5" scared the hell out of me but it was the best decision I ever made.
Corners like its on rails in soft or hard...doesn't matter, in fact if you didn't look down and realize they were wide skis, you'd never know it. That is until you hit powder and rail turns. In pow they are predictable and fun.

They are never darty nor have a heavy feel, just point and go.

With these skis you really understand the genius of the 6 degree tilt in the suspension rails and it really makes this thing steer like a 121.

My only complaint is on crust covered powder, they are a bit darty and hard to keep straight, but in our region, that's 1% of the time so who cares.

Hope this helps.
