Can these be fitted without a fuel controller?

Adding more air without adding more fuel wont make more power right?

I was told by Allen Ulmer that a fuel programmer was not needed if the stock muffler was used.

But what gains will you get?

This is off of Ulmer's Web Site...
Improve low end & midrange 5-6 hp!
2-3 HP gain on top end!
I think these numbers are without any type of fuel programer??? Maybe someone who knows for sure (Allen U.) will reply?

My sled ran like garbage without the PC5. It was popping bad enough the sled was almost unrideable. Added the PC5 and it was a whole new animal.

With programmer...
. What RPM was the popping occuring? Not sure if that is what I'm hearing also. And was it under a load when it occurred or when you were in and out of the throttle at a steady pace?Nikolai said:My sled ran like garbage without the PC5. Any time I was off the throttle and got back on it. It would continuously pop, it sounded horrible. The PC5 made a night and day difference. My sled did have the lean pop before the filter kit from my exhaust, the filters just made it a lot worse. A K&N kit by itself might be fine.

Has anyone ever heard of Hoyle's or Bernoulli's principle?

I ran the filters last year and got a Small popping Noise just after engagement,i think there is a lean spot right there..but the Sled worked ok otherwise.I also have a Buddy who runs filters and a slip-on with no Programmer and his runs great.
I now have a PCV and ignition modual and it does run better for sure..but i do think some sleds don't need the Programmer for just Filters.
