After reading reports from Betheviper and others I splurged for a set of Arrow skis in a hope to lighten up the steering effort of my rage without losing the ability to turn when I want to.

The rage comes with extra deeps keels on the skis and are a bit twitchy with the singles and tend to dart. Had some Woody duelies and they steered a bit easier but pushed awfully even with the straps pulled up and the front spring softened. Put them is a box. Went to my dependable yamaha set up of 8 inch singles and dartless plates. Darting was gone cornered like mad, and would rather roll over than push. However, there was just too much grip and in some conditions and temps it was damn near impossible to get the bars to turn in the twisties leading to one heck of a work out. Let out the straps all the way and added some preload to the front rear spring. Ended up with hard steering on decelleration and the skies up in the air on uphills and accelleration. Not a good combo.
I have noticed tha the ski setup is a bit harder with the rage skis over the vector and the addition of the apex seat mod. With this seat I am much more able to get further foward and the weight is more balanced between the front and back instead of a more rearward bias.

So with the addition of the Kimpex skis the sled rails the corners aggressively and would rather have a slight push istead of inside ski lift and steers like it has power steering. Way less effort and more consistent performance. A definite upgrade in performance and drivability. If Yamaha had put these skis on their sleds sales would have improved significantly. There is no need for powersteering when you are using well designed skis. These things make the stock skis look really bad. If I were a Yamaha dealer I would get a set of these as demos and sell them by the truckload. Absolutely amazing.

I would love to see a reviews of arrow skis compare to Snowtrackers.

I am on the edge of buying a set of arrow but nobody have a set so i could try them.

I am aggressive ride and run 144 stud so it have to turn.

What carbide do have under? 4" ...6" woody's ....shaper bars?

Carbides

I am running a 136" ripsaw with 108 megabites up the middle. Just got back from a quick 60 miles (over 20 inches of powder on the ridge tops, had no idea until we got up there) after making some suspension adjustments and pulling up my limiter straps a bit, I am loving the way my sled is riding right now....
Currently I have 4 inch carbides on all four keels. I ordered 6 inch and someone messed up. I would have liked more on some of the icy corners I just rode down low this evening. I have no doubt that a long and deep keel ski will give you a more aggressive cornering ability but there are tradeoffs. I had more corner grip than I needed or wanted with my earlier set up. I switched to get lighter steering and more predictability. Easier to ride=more fun=longer rides.
