I will be picking up an 08 Nytro on Wednesday and was looking at some quick and easy customizing. Are the knee pads and tank protector useful? I am coming off a REV and know that the knee pads were a great investment. Thanks for any help.

I typically swing my knee outward so when leaning in a turn I don't push my knee into the body panel. The only thing to worry about hitting would be the rev. handle which I occasionally do but since getting the Klim bibs (they have built in knee pads) I don't even notice it. I would probably ride it once or twice before getting them. I know that the revs. were bad in that department but I don't think you'll find the Nytro's require them as much.

Yeah, more or less, the panels where your knee's rest are real contoured, if I do bump into them I barely notice, but when I ride hard I sit just far enough back to where they aren't near it, or so far forward my knees wouldn't even touch the pads. ride it first.

saw em in the catalog, almost ordered becuase they were a REQUIREMENT on the Rev,u were always hitting the panels cuz you were riding against them.
on the nytro, you barely ever bump them.
more legroom on the yami i guess. glad i rode it first, i saved some $$

I have the larger tank installed, and the knee pads are a nice addition great.
