Well I have to thank Kipp and Pat at PATs Yamaha in Greenland Michigan UP, again. I broke a driver shaft on my 06 Apex. They replaced it and the bearing the very next day. I have always received nothing but the best of service from PATS.
I will strongly consider purchasing my next sled from them.

Once again Thanks for the great service ;)!

I think the world in those guys. The sad thing is the dealership is up for sale. I stayed up there the week of Jan. 28th. They didn't mention anything at that time, but a portion of my group went back up again about a week ago and stayed on Gogebic. One day they rode up to Pat's and visited with them. They told them that they were selling it. Pat is all but retired and Kip has too many other irons in the fire. Kip and his wife are opening up a bar in Greenland shortly. I'll miss them if it sells.

They did mention to my buddies..."you guys are great, but not everyone we deal with is." I kind of saw this first hand. When I was paying Pat for our stay ,I saw a group of riders fill their sleds up and drive off without paying. Pat said, "great, that will take a week to recoup".

I spoke to Pat about it, after seeing a for sale sign on the window. He said someone pulled the sign off a machine and put it in the window. He said he would sell if the opportunity came up. (he didnt sound too serious). Maybe Kip will want it after his bar is up and going across the street.
If the ownership changes they'll have some big shoes to fill

That's sad to hear about Pat. I really enjoyed them. I'm sure they have had better times also with the trail conditions these past few years. Unfortunate if he does indeed sell.

THANKS PAT!!

I talked to Pat. He isnt selling anytime soon. Not only that Kip is there for atleast 10years if they do sale..under contract.

Just like apex 21 said. It was a joke. But if they did sale, Kip would still manage..that would be the agreement! Plus Pat said..he isnt going anywhere...still be the gofer and have to wash the windows for the rest of his life. :jump:

Pat is a hoot. The first time in there I didnt care for the place. I thought they were a little rude. But after going again and again they seam to be up in spirit and a good bunch of guys.

The prices are reasonable, unlike one yamaha dealers in the UP. Without naming names, selling me a belt for $100.00 because I had no other choice!

Yah and selling a saddle bag set to your buddy for a "warrior" that wouldn' fit and was non returnable, because the place is for sale. What goes around comes aroud. Paul

Pats Auto and Sports are the best around! They just don't get any better. I buy all my parts and machines there. I am happy to have them as friends. Pat, Claudia, Kip, and Trish are always there to lend a hand and go above and beyond, that is for sure. Mike Knapp#17
