come play
the trails are in great shape. .some friends were on the 345 after the barrage...they went to manwan,on tuesday..they came back on the 33 and so did everyone else ..they said that they would ride back on the 345 next time (another 60 ks.)...too many guys on the trail and it was pretty beat up by the end of the day...I will be at the cabanon for sat and sun..going to ride the 345 and do a loop ( about 150-175 ks ) on one of the local trails in the mastigouche park...stay away from the 33 and anything that is near st-micheal and zennon,,there is lots of snow in the park trails...just bring gas..it is a long ride from the cobanon to the next station when you go north in the park..there are even trails open near tows house..but the snow will be gone soon if we dont get cold ..i will be there by 10..or earlier..or we can hook up saturdaynight and talk of the area to ride..enjoy the weekend....jack

sorry
Sorry that I am not going to tell you guys where I was..the trails are good in the morrning..but when it gets the sun and temp..plus traffic...it gets like sand and bumpy..this is why I am not telling the place we rode .but we did have to come back 60 ks on a well used trail..where there is lots of trafic, the snow is very thin..melting from the sun and dirt..if everyone would stop wipping the corners clean of snow. .this would not be a problem..( I was there too once ) ..LoL..a little hint as where to ride..bring gas..and look where the guys are pulling tabbogans.. ( local trails )..they dont rip the trail to hell..that is all I will say as to where we rode..I ran with a 5 gallon on the back..and my wife got 196.9 ks and it still was running..then put two gallons in to get to gas stop..and in wet snow and hot temps..I am going to ride on weds and will post how it was..unless I hear sooner..but come this weekend..the weather looks bad for us..too hot.and sun..Mont Valin will be early....Jack

I rode from St-Zenon to Manawan last saturday (6 march) with no sand at all and pretty good conditions. There still good rides possible if we don't get rain in the next days... Here my photo report...

still good..
rode in tremblant ( march 10 ) it was ok..the snow was soft..there are more places with very little snow...too bad..there were some places that were unbelievable..and then there were some that were pretty bad..in the sun or just too many carpet cleaners turning the corners .all in all it was great..I really cant see it going past this weekend..atleast inthe park..and saint-micheal-des-saints is pretty bad...some friends were there..and they said most of it was good..but that there was alot less snow than a week ago.when you get to the towns there is almost no snow.la Glacier or cabanon.would be the better place to start..you can start else where ..but I believe these spots would be less dirt and also less traffic..most guys think its better to launch up north more..no..more traffic there..and Allain said too..the traffic does more damage than the sun..Too bad some places are so good..but get there is a story..going tomorrow ( march 12 ) to ride manwan with everyone else...lol...unless I find a better place along the way... Jack
If there is anything next week..pretty sure it will be val dor or up at manwan ..was told that mont-laurier is the same..no snow in the town..it will close after this week...the town anyhow...
I shall let Allain post pics..his storys are more interestting..and laid out better..

Yes quebecmoutainrider,
Unfortunately things are moving very fast and it melt pretty much this week. St-Donat and Manawan snowmobile clubs will close in the next days and propably won't groom anymore...
It left Cabanon that groom but as you said, St-Michel and few miles each side is not good. Glacière and Cabanon are for sure the best drop spots now.
I will propably try Mastigouche reserve side saturday...
looks like spring is already arrivied

hey Allain..the 360 is good..but when you get about 10-15 ks from the JTC 360-347..there is no snow,it was thin when i was there..we went into reserve saint-maurice..the trails were good there ,,and no riders.just the local guys..and the local trail by lac Evline..was incredible..smooth and no riders..we looped and joined the 345...I am in Ottawa this weekend..but shall be back on Monday..is there anyone out there who wants to ride next week..i have room for a sled on my truck..or can tow a trailer...If there is any rides left..
the weather is going to get cooler next week..might be too late..
tow tell me how it was, when you get back...cause if its going to close..then I shall come back late sat..and ride sunday...thanks Allain .....jack
