I called my dealer today just to see if he had heard anything on delivey dates for my GT. He said they had the delivery schedule on the dealer website and while I was on hold, he checked it. He says there is a shipment due in September  One in November :( and one in December :o| WTF? I know a couple guys on here said their dealers called and said to expect their GT's in 2-3 weeks. I'm good with September, November is really pushing it though, and December is a frickin' joke. It must be an ancient Japanese custom not to ship sleds in October. Can anyone confirm or disprove these shipment dates?

My dealer said they would be here by xmas if you are lucky, somthing to do with the fuel delivery system management on back order.

what dealer ?

Snowbelt,
what dealer in NY did you order your sled from ? I ordered one from Troy City Garage and here is what they told me...

"We just received our shipping dates and they are from September through
December. yamaha assigns a machine to a name as they ship them. we won't know when yours ships till it actually is invoiced. thanks. "

December??? NOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait that long.

Grrrrrrrr.....

september woulnt be too bad but December?? NO.... How will i make the TY ride in time? I have to have time to install my studs and carbides.. LOL

Look at it this way... Atleast you wont have to make payments on it untill the snow flys.. LOL

I'm new to the site, fill me in on the Ty ride. If it's in the Wis Northwoods I'm in. I agree about the studs/time issue. Dont forget about changing your oil after the first ride/200 miles.

Comming to a garage near me:
06 Apex ER Blue
96 or 120 studs, I'll try 6 inch carbides

Don't worry about something you have no control over, it will be here before the snow hits.

I don't know about your area, but I could be riding as early as Nov. 1. I'm just wondering how it can go from September to possibly December?

the first TY ride is in U.P. of michagan

Sounds close enough, I can trailer from Lac du Flambeau or take the Iron Horse,PI,2 etc... Where in the UP. I started last year around 12 -1-04(opening day). Hopefully I wont need it, but it is helpfully to know where the wet areas are in the UP (if thats possible). My last ride of the season was in the UP and it was awesome 400 mile day 2 hrs wasted at Lac view Desier (sp) . The best riding I had all last season........

I just talked to my dealer today, and he has been working with yamaha on with their race sleds, and he said they haven't heard of any delays yet. Probably just a bad rumor.

Hougton/ Hancock... in the u.p.

Hougton and hancock are right across from each other with only a small band of water between them , just in case you havent been there..

That would hold true for all the sleds, not just the GT.
