I have a 2008 Vector that is leaking from the front heat exchanger. Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to replace this? From looking at it, it looks like it could be a real big job.
Thanks for the help.

It a pretty big job...lots of rivets to drill out... track, chaincase, the entire bottom pan... you may have to even pull the motor .... I know some of them you dont but not certain on the Vector.

Motor DOES have to come out. I had a hole in my exchanger and I found a guy that's GOOD at welding aluminum. I pulled the skid, drained the coolant, removed hoses and blew compressed air thru everything to dry it out. Almost 10,000 miles later the weld is holding and should hold for the life of the chassis.
This guy builds race car chassis. These types of guys have to be good at welding aluminum. Try to find one in your area.

I'm with the rest, best if you can weld it in the chassis. Removal seems to be a long job.
