What kinda of improvement are you looking for. I extend to 144" for more off trail use and better traction, Iam a light guy so the stock suspension wasnt really that bad unless I dropped from some height would it bottom out..... I havent had a chance to use this skid since I just installed it, but the reason iam asking this is because Denis responded to your email saying if your looking for improvement the 144" is not the anwser.

That is the first time I heard the 'bridge' theory not true. I had one of the first ZX2's I wonder if my oil is synthetic or not. The first I never bottomed out the 2nd I did 3 times.

The only thing I am trying to improve with my ZX-2 is to increase its anti bottoming characteristics. After talking to Denis I am thinking that my shocks just need to rebuilt and that would help alot. However, I am also going get them revalved by pioneer performance to make sure they are stiff enough for my liking right off the bat. Right now the suspension is perfect for the trails but I am trying to make the Apex into a jumper that can handle 4-5 feet of air and not bottom out really hard. And I am willing to suffer a stiffer ride in the small bumps, so I am going with the revalve as well.
Like you, the only reason I am going to 144 is it increase off trail abililty of sled, as I am slowly turning into more of a boondocker than trail rider.
I believe Denis is talking about an increase is ride comfort. If you are looking for that, going to 144" is not the answer.

Very interesting stuff.
I recently purchased a zx2 for my apex. I ran it with my 121 track last year. I have always found that the apex appears to overpower this track.
When I bought the zx2, I also bought the extesnion kit to go to 136". Will with make a big diff or should I just wear out the 121" 1st? I'm also beginning to wonder if I should just jump to 144". I am 35, weight 185 Ibs and I am a fairly aggressive rider. Around here conditions a variable so we all have to trail stud.
Any advice would be appreciated. I wish zx2 would tip up their rails and then it would be a no brainer for me
