I've seen similar ones in the past where the heat goes into the headlight housing like these. I wonder if it's enough to melt snow off?

I've used HID in the past. I liked the light output and colour however they failed too often to my liking.

I believe that replacing the old halogens with LED or HID bulbs help expend the life of the stator, reducing the load significantly.

I like that idea with the bulb to free up power to marginal heated grips.

Well, the idea did work with 35w HID however these are 55w LED. Don't know if that's 55w per bulb or both, just like they say 10,000 lumen but you read the description it's 5000 lumen x 2. If it's 55w each, then it's basically the same power draw as halogens.

Checking customer questions, it's 55w per pair so 27.5w per bulb.

As far as the grips are concerned, this won't do a thing for them.
