Hey guys I have the stock 55/60 wattage lamps in my sled (however I have changed the to blue ) But I would like to put in the 65/100 wattage bulbs. The only accessory I have going is a heated shield that is ran direct to my battery through a 2A fuse. Can I use these lamps without cooking anything :?: :?:

I have talked to guys using them and they haven't had any issues. But after using my Warrior at night I can't help but wonder why you need more lighting? The damn thing already lights up half the county

Have fun! I let a buddy ride my warrior last week and when he turned around to come back I couldn't believe how bright the lights were in the middle of the day!

Where can I order these brighter lights from :?:
In December we only have two or three of hours of sunlight each day. We experience alot of blowing snow and blizzard conditions so these would be perfect for the riding I do. I even found it hard to notice the contours of the sea ice when riding at high speed because the nose would point up when I accelerate and I wouldn't see the bumps until I let off the gas.
Thanks,

Hey Arctic RX I got mine originally from the snow show here but I know you can get them from an automotive store. I highly suggest the blue/xenon lamps. I have these in my sled now and they just smoke the standard clear lamps. However I still want brighter lamps. And of course BLUE  the base style is P43T but an automotive base number for the same thing (i.e. a cross) is an H4 base. Also try www.denniskirk.com

Artic RX, I'm using the 90/100 blue plasma glow Xenon/Krypton lamps. Never had an issue after 4,100 miles. Man do they shine :!: Bought them off Ebay for like $6.99 I think it was.

All kinds of them for sale on Ebay for $9.99. You can get them in blue, yellow, green, and believe it or not purple.. I am thinking about getting a pair but also wanted to know if it would overload my electrical system since I also have a heated visor hooked directly to my battery.

I've also got a heated visor. Everything seems to work fine for me anyways.

In the December issue of SnowTech magazine in the Service and Tuning notes. pg. 39, there is a writeup that states Yamaha has proven that high wattage headlight bulbs can cause the sled to misfire and stall. I know several people have said they have not had any problems but still someting to be aware of. The maximum accessory electrical load stated in the article is 40 watts.

dudes,
get the Slyvania 55/60 superwhite H-4 bulbs at an auto parts store they are a little expensive but well worth the money and are like 1/3 brighter then the stock bulbs. I have those Xenon bulbs from ebay and they don't compare to the Slyvania which are really white light.
