ok i have seen posts regarding light show before but with 7000 miles this is the first time i have seen it. my question is the only one sparking is loose fitting to spark plug. i pulled the wire off and did see alot of carbon or black dust inside the spark plug boot. was wondering if there is a fix for this problem or is the boot itself junk. i cleaned it off and put it back on and the light show went away but the connection is still loose. thanks for your input.
If I remember correctly you can clean the boot with that electric aresol cleaner then use dielectric grease and reinstall. If this does not fix the light show get new boots.

srxpert; is this a coil clip or plug end? I have read somewhere that there are new coils to tack care of this problem, part # 8ES-F3711-00-00

Has anybody looked any further into this to see what this new part number is exactly and what are the results?

Part #8FA-82310-01-00 replaces the "COIL CAPs that have a revised style spring clip."
I will probably not need these. YES put 4 new coils on my 04 Rx-1 at the end of last season. Knock on wood!
