I have some damage to one strap, looks like a stud hit it on its way out of that yoko track (98 XTC) , any way still holding, how critical are these in a 110 hp machine trail ridden. thanks I know this is not an RX1 but this site has more helpful info than any other and the skids are similar. :?: :?:
Unless you want a whole lot of ski lift you'll want to replace the limiter strap.

I would agree, wouldn't this actually create an issue of pulling off all the weight off the skis and transferring it completely to the skid, thus affecting tracking and everything else?

If anything I would be concerned that with only one strap, your skid could "twist' under load and really throw off the weight transfer which could get squrrilly on the trail...Replace it!

I agree
I agree with RX replace it. I often adjust these in or out to adj how much pulls to one side or another while under power. I hope u have aftermarket skis or it will also turn horribly :x :x I hate it when they push in the corners .

replace that strap
If you have two limiter straps and one is broken you will twist the he#% out of the skid….You certainly will either see some bent tubing or broken weld if you leave it that way….If you cant replace it right now….loosen off the existing strap to lessen the impact (snapping on the strap)…and don’t be jumping off moguls…that’s when the suspension will snap down and cause problems….It’s an easy fix….good luck…JD
