Longer Lasting Hyfax

My dealer swears by the phaser slides...says they last way longer then the regular Yamaha hifax ...my brother is going to try them on his Apex so time will tell.

Phazer slides never knew there was a difference, how are they different from regular Yamaha slides?

According to Yamaha Canada's website, their slides are UHMV as well.

You guys are going to think I'm crazy but a guy I ride with who used to race cross country and ice lemans talked me into milling slots into my hyfax (he would kill me for letting out his secret ha ha). My first set lasted 700 miles and were paper thin and on my milled set I now have about 700 miles and they are at about 50% and the conditions were terrible towards the end of the year. His theory is that the slots fill with snow and ice and continually lubricate them, seems to be working. We milled two rows of slots about 1.5" long staggering the rows and going as deep as we could without cutting through. I know my wear still isn't good but it is an improvement. I will be doing my next set as well.

They are thinner and because of this they don't get as hot and wear slower...like I said my brother is going to try them on his attack, if they work I'll post.
