Currently own an 03 RX-1. Am looking at an 07 Attak this evening at 5pm. 6k miles, asking price is $3750. New exhaust and donuts at 5k miles. Chaincase fully replaced 3 years ago, blew apart on the guy.

Anything I should specifically look for? I can't really ride it around, no snow.

6k miles not much can be wrong with it, $3750 is cheap for a 07! look it over.

I am definately planning on buying it, already pre-approved for whatever I need to borrow from the bank. Just don't want to jump into it without knowing what to look for.

Just saw a 2007 go for 4000 on ebay. That is a good deal I have seen 07 that they are asking 6500 for them. Change lower bearing and donuts. These sleds will run a long time.

Check the front suspension arm , check for cracks in the rails and look for drips from the heat exchangers near the rear suspension support bracket.

ask when the spedo bearing was last done and check the mono arm for cracks. other wise should be normal maintenece items.

Lift it up and check for play in the front a-arms where it bolts the chassis.easy fix just ,time and steps.

Few things different than your RX-1 but pretty much the same here and there

I have a 2006 Attak and love it. Miss the lower weight 2 stroke but don't miss the smell and constant headaches from it.

Check the W arm for cracks.
Check the slide rails for cracks around the rail stiffeners where the W arm attaches.
Look for ovaling of the holes where the front suspension attaches though the bulkhead. You will feel the slop
Check for coolant leaks around the tunnel heat exhangers where the rear suspension bracket is located

6,000 is nothing on these machines. Sounds like the donuts are done which is one of the main things. A-arms bushing as mentioned and rear suspension cracks were mentioned. It does make me wonder why the chain case had issues unless they had a loose chain that caused the issue or possibly low on oil.

I bought mine with many more miles but the owner was super easy on it and everything is still tight on it. The motor is what is so sweet on these. Like a Swiss watch compared to any 2 smoker.

You will need a rear cooler. If it's studded then you'll need 1 1/2 in of protection over the cooler. Yesterday I just finished my 3 rd 07 Attak installing a cooler, protectors and studs.

I'm getting it tomorrow. Ended up trading the guy one of my 1990 phazer II's for some more money off the asking price.

Mono shock has been revalved, updated yamaha skid parts (arms) installed at that time, and skid was powdercoated. Looks like it's in good shape. I didn't check the a arms, but if I need to put new bushings in I will.

Sounds like a nice score! Congrats.
