Have you looked at wrp seat kit? I know the seat foam they supply is much firmer than stock apex foam.

Sounds like an 2011+ seat with the wrp on it to me. The 2011 seat if I recall Is 1-1/2" taller stock over a 2006 plus the wrp is another 2". I would talk to them they may be able to help you out to get that 2011 foam to fit yours

You can contact your local auto/boat Upholstery shop and have a custom seat made using the stock seat as a base then add denser foam to it to get the 4" rise you are after, have the seating area covered with 'gripper' material so you won't slid around on it, also make sure that they leave the front edge that is covered by tank surround without any extra foam so the seat at the front will have a step then have the rear section tapper down, this will create a deeper tool pouch area, they will use boat style twist lock to secure the rear flap along with velcro. Lastly you will have to add steering post riser of at least 5" so the bars will clear your knees, and you will have to add mountain length throttle cable and brake hose to complete the upgrade. My seat cost was $225...plus riser and cables but your knees will thank you. Love the riding position and easy transition from sitting to standing...wish that i had a good pic to show you...will upload pic of seat after this weekend

Looks good! I added 1 inch and streched stock cover , added MYN riser but still need more!
I added 3 in to my RX1 and was a great improvement. I gree 4 in would get my seating position perfect.

Like I said its great seating position that keeps knees from cramping up on those long days in the saddle and easy to go from sitting to standing position...

Maybe try calling them and see what they can do?
On the wrp apex seat you can ship them your seat and they will do the foam install and recover it and send it back to you. I am thinking That They design and build seats from scratch, they make seat covers, they have foam, they have the tools, they have the knowledge.
Seems like its not too much of a strech for them to do what you want.
Worst they can say is no and your out 20 cents for the call and 10 minutes of your time.
Good luck
