Looking for a new skid...

I called my local dealer,

according to them the only way this update covered is after a failure, and he is not sure if he could get Yamaha to cover it now.

His recomendation was to leave it alone until it breaks. He is claiming that only a small % of the sleds he sold actually had a problem.

Schmidt bros has beef up kits for the non-updated rear suspension

Thanks Mike,

I`m not TOO woried yet, ill obviously keep an eye on it, I only contacted the dealer in case i could sneek it in before a problem.

I think i might make my own aluminum linkage, and add gussets to my arm. (honestly i enjoy tinkering on stuff like this) If i screw somethin up illl go with the Schmidt kit.

When my original link broke I welded it with extra weld and it held till I got the kit.Biggest thing though is to not bottom out.No matter the strength of a skid if it bottoms something is going to break. So either let off if bottoming or get shocks that prevent it.
