The lower shaft that connects to the transfer rod? if this is the one , i had issues with years ago believe that the zerk is to close to the shaft and wont take grease.i removed ,measured and ground a small groove around it.re- installed and has been taking grease since.it has been 7 going on 8 years now.sactruck said:I have a 2007 Apex and a 2006 Attack, and also have never been able to get the rear swing arm to except grease. Ok, looks like powder coating not the issue. Grease coming out around base of zerk where welded to shaft

That is exactly what I told you the other day on the first page of this thread. Mine was the same.
My dealer re-welded the zerks under warranty. My dealer said it was a common issue to not have the weld go completely around the zerk allowing the grease to squirt out between the welds rather than going into the shaft.

How do you know there is enough grease in the area? just it just come out of the nipple?

You pump in the grease until it comes out at the ends of the shaft.
