I have a 2005 Yamaha Warrior. I have noticed some free play in the steering. When you turn the bars they will move a little bit in either direction before they turn the skis. They travel freely left and right for about an inch either direction. What do I need to do to fix this?

You can replace the steering bushings(black plastic blocks on the steering shafts)or install the billet ones from OFT(this is what i did). They removed about 50% of the play(got alot more play reduced in my bros 06 nytro,go figure).Other than that you have to replace all the links and joints to get to 90%.Had a 94 arctic cat puma years back. After one season i could wiggle the handlebars back and forth 3 inches. That was really terrible.

Thanks. It's probably ok, it just feels stange steering the way it is. My 97 XLT steering feels a lot tighter.
