Well I manage to get back 5mph today. I removed the Vector belt and compared it closely to the Phazer's and the Vector is slightly longer but the same width. Took it out for a rip with the original Phazer belt and top out at 85. On a side note while I was out on the lake a met a guy with a new Polaris who was broken down with a melted piston. I went back to the garage and removed my "reverse" secondary and installed the original secondary and back on the lake for another rip. Top out at the same 85mph. So the issue was with the belt. I don't think I'll ever see the 92mph again because of the new larger lug track (fully clipped) and all the new driveline bearings. Once the new stuff gets broken in probably see a couple more mph.
One thing I found amazing is the difference between the newer style secondary and the old one. The old style secondary set the rpm to a max of only 10,800 at top speed. The engagement was much harsher on start of even though the engagement rpms were the same and it shifted terrible compared to the new. The new style secondary had a max rpm of 11.450 and smoother shifting. I have to figure out what helix is being used to see if there is some improvement that can be made. The spring is a black one so not sure if that the correct on for my application.

Taller track will knock off some speed.

If you went from a stock track to the freeride 1.5 lug you will loose some top end mph..snow conditions play a HUGE roll in top speed..the snow can take 10mph off the top like its nothing..

That's true because of the extra weight. I wonder how much the taller track changes the indicated speed? Basically the same as installing a larger tire on your truck. There are formulas for tire sizes and actual speed, is there one for tracks? I might me closer to the initial indicated 90 than I think.

Hey Cannondale, thank for the chart. I googled and could find anything. Hows the Viper running? Since you got the Viper your not posting here as much which is a shame because your the "go to guy" when it comes to Phazer knowledge.

I am always here though. Still have Phazer and rode it a few times. My daughter is racking up most miles on it now. Viper I love it. Way faster and easier to ride. Not as hangoff and pin it fun as Phazer but I only rolled the Viper once so far Phazer would have been over quite a few times by this point and with more power the confidence in turning is not what my Phazer is. Suspension rear is better on Phazer also. Basicly tweaking the Viper to fit me. You all know how that goes!
