I went out today and it was pretty cool the trails were pretty hard and i damn near ruined a brand new set of hyfax's. They only had about 400 miles on them, my brother in law has the low snow wheel kit(which will be my next order this week) with about the same and his still look brand new. I read about some people putting bigger wheels on theres? What was a good size on those?I put a freeride track on it and it has clips on every window so i don't know if that caused the premature wear or just lack of lubrication but i don't want to keep changing my hyfax. I also have issues with the clutch if i come to a complete stop with the brakes it sounds like i have metal on metal grinding in my clutch. I believe this is the way the clutch setup is to take the belt off you can open the secondary but i think that is sucking my belt in and pushing the clutch over causing this noise. Anyone else have these kinds of issues with clutching? I also have quite a bit of play in the secondary. How much is normal? :4STroke:

Search for Excell wheels. They are a simple mod...just slightly larger than stock.

clean your secondary with soap and water and wipe down the belt dust outta the primary and lossen the track a little ,taller wheels are the key to the freeride though.

i have the excell wheels, helps alot with the hyfax wear.. my slides were 1/2 shot at 400miles, put the excell wheels on have ridden another 400miles and the are in the same spot...

Was @ Excell's on Monday, they were currently out of stock on the wheels.
Working on the 2nd set of new sliders for the year, true test of these wheels to come. They still might not cure the wear near the rail curve (although I was told they would when I went to buy a low snow wheel kit) 'cause it looks like the track isn't as low there.

i do have the low snow wheel kit mounted at the curve of the hyfax.. and that is where most of my issue was it was burning thru quick.. but also had faster than usual wear thru out the lenghth of the slide.. r u going to the hill climbs on saturday porky???

So you'd suggest the low snow wheel kit with the X wheels? I'll probally just do that next season...

The hillclimb's out, got my club's poker run the same day- Probally wouldn't have went anyways. Rather be out racking up miles ya' know??
