Hi everyone, I have been a long time reader of totally yamaha, and over the years have gotten some great tips and advice from your forums. This week was the first time I have actually taken the time to sign up and post something.
This year I upgraded from a 700sx to a 04 rx warrior. Overall I was pleased with the sled, loved the power, speed ect, but it was missing the "fun " factor. Being 6'4 the sled as stock was really not setup for anything but flat trail riding, I could'nt stand and the seat was way to low and flat. After riding a buddies 07 attack on the weekend I really felt I had made the wrong choice. After doing a search on TY for seat mods, I came across a post from Dec 05 by "Otis" with a complete explaination and pics. I bought 4" high density foam $25 and a case of beer, a buddy and two hours and I have what looks identical to the attack seat. The I put in 2" bar risers $19 and bar hook ends $21 ea. The result is an awsome fun ride that I would recomend to any warrior owners. It is totally a do-it-yourself cheap upgrade. Best bang for buck ever. Thanks TY and Otis for the great info. What a great resourse.
