I think we may have started in on this topic but I am looking for more insight. Went for a ride the other day and had an issue the rpm at idle dropped to around 750 or 800 and wanted to quit. It actually did stall twice at trail intersections and turning around. Shut it off and fired it back up and it was fine for a while. did it again later in the ride. No affect on upper rpm or power. Any ideas?

What type of riding were u doing immediately prior to this happening? I've only had it happen to me once but I was riding at 10mph or less for about 10 minutes straight(caught in a white out and couldn't see lol) got back home and went to open to garage door and idle went way down and sounded like it was gonna quit. Turned it off then right back on and it was fine

First time I was riding easy 10 mph or so in powder trying to find the trail. Backed off on the throttle and went to hit it and turn around and it quit. Shut key off and refired and was fine. Later was riding hard and came to a road crossing stopped and idle fell way off wanted to quit. I shut it off this time and refired and seemed ok. Just a little unsettling not knowing the cause.

Happened to me last night too. It was snowing out and same symptoms. I was going 40-50 and it died when i was accelerating out of a stop.
waited 30 seconds and ran fine rest of night. Seems like there may be a powder issue?

I was also riding powder today. shut off at intersection maybe 5 min, started back up and was idling around 850. drove for around 5 miles very boggy on bottom end but hi rpm seemed fine. stopped shut it off and restarted and then it was fine.not sure what to think

Mine did the same to me in Togwotee. Ran good all day was going slow to turn around and scope out an area and idle dropped right off and died. Started up and did the same, gave it gas and never had a problem since. Was in powder all day.

Mine did the same thing and powder had nothing to do with it. I hit the reverse button and it happened, then stalled started back up and still the idel was low around 800 RPM. drove it about 1/4 mile to my camp shut it down cycled the key 3 times and all was good back to 1500 RPM. I feel this is a maping issue AC mapping sucks.

check your fuel tank vent line, it is zip tied to bulk head between clutches, a blue line, riding in fresh snow and drifts a few weeks back I had a stalling and low idle issue and there was snow in the belly pan plugging the vent, I zip tied the line to the coolant line running along the bulk head raising it off the belly pan about 2"

Odd my vent line was ziptied to the line from factory. Wonder if some got missed?
