My dealer is replacing mine under warranty no questions asked, right side. He was actually amazed that they were gone and it is the first one they have seen. I also have the sub frame bent or the A arm not sure which on the same side. He is waiting for a response from his rep about that. All with 820 KMS on the sled

Just as an FYI, if you let our ball joints get too sloppy the lower a-arm will start digging into the spindle. 3/8" of play is WAY too much.
I have lubed my balljoints from day one, and they were still shot at 400kms. They were replaced under warranty.

I just received a call from my dealer. The ball joints I requested came in a week early. I presume this means there’s more in the pipeline now. I don't know if they're "new and improved" or the same old friable design that came on the sled. I plan on running with my re-design for the rest of the season – all two weeks of it.
Is anyone interested in the set that my dealer is holding for me?

Meyer Enterprise in Ishpeming MI, replaced both lower ball joints & I was back on the trail within a couple hours. Great dealer to work with. Thank you.

Do you think that the new ones are new and improved or are they the same #*$&@?

WOW!!!! I was rather shocked that my ball joints just went bad this week with 1900 miles on my sled. I noticed a brass spacer thingy but never gave it much mind when I pulled it the rest of the way off. I thought it was some trail side garbage that I picked up. Then I got thinking, and started investigating more. Well whata know, it was from my ball joint. Took sled to my dealer and he will replace both left and right side ball joints. I hope he can get them in by next weekend. I had planed on riding up on Tug Hill acouple more times.

To anyone that has got one of these ball joints out of the sled (new or used):
Please measure the outside diameter of the outer race, the height of the outer race, the height of the ball (including the things that stick out top and bottom) and the inside diameter of the ball (where the bolt goes). Preferably as precise as possible. I am looking into the possibility to use ball joints from other manufacturers (there are lot of high-quality options available for race cars).
