How about it guys, what do you thing of "LRD TORQ" exhaust slip-on?
Anybody running one or have any Idea what it sounds wide open, I want to get one and replace my HMF performance. WHY ? Because its as loud as a tin can directly welded to the headers...VERY,VERY LOUD; LOUDEST SLIP ON THAT i KNOW OF and I would not have got it if I was aware so this time Im asking around I know of the other on that they have out but I dont want that either.

Anyway I want the torq if its everthing they ("LRD")say it is but i would like to know if anyone knows anyone that has one and what you or they think of it. does it increase the torq/low end as it claims? I know dirtwheels did a shoot out for the exhaust systems in one of the issues but it was for a raptor or the 450 or something and i dont think they tested the "TORQ" BY LRD but rather one of the others that LRD makes for the sport quads like "LRD PERFORMANCE"and the "TORQ" by LRD is made for the utility quad.
so any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Blades ;)!

I have the LRD pipe on mine and I really like the way it sounds. It is a quite a bit louder than stock. You can hear it while riding but when I ride my wife's quad behind it the noise is a lot less than I expected. It fits well and has not been a problem for me. LRD says that jetting is not required but after going up one size on the pilot and two on the main jet with some holes in the air box lid it starts better and you can feel the difference. I have big tires on my quad and the pipe restored the power to better than stock. I am very happy with mine.

Quite a few of those slip ons will give you 1 or 2 ho on the top but will really kill the low end torque.....

I have a HMF quiet pipe on the wall and the dyno sheets to show it.

do you have the TORQ or another model by LRD? I am trying to get info on the TORQ model.
Thanks!

Mine is the Torq pipe. It is strong on the bottom and mid range and is less than I expected to get on the top. I am not much intrested in top end power I just want to go from corner to corner quickly. This pipe does that very well.

The question is....If riders put as much effort into the stock pipe w/ jetting and holes in the airbox, would results be similar? I think it would be surprising, and quiet.

hey clutch, thanks for getting back with me again on this. I agree, I dont want or care much for top end like some of the others but rather low end to really do some good hill climbs and go in the deep stuff and corner to corner as you put it. I think i am just going to get it. I have the HMF slip on and its loud as anything i have heard on any bike...2 or four wheel. hopefuly this one will just have a nice grunt from the belly sound, nice and deep sounding without that extra pitch. anyway thaks again clutch!

Blades, if the noise level is acceptable I am sure you will like the pipe. For me it does just what I wanted with my big heavy tires.
