In short - wow what a great sled! I’m one of those guys that LOVED my Apex but it finally needed to be replaced so bought a leftover sidewinder at the end of last season. I put the first 400 miles on my sidewinder over the last few days and I’m in love! Aside from theoretical reliability it does every single thing better than my Apex. I’m still working on getting the suspension setup for me but none the less it handles circles around my Apex. It stays so flat in the corners it’s amazing! No ski lift, ever. The engine is amazing. I never thought I’d find a an engine even more fun than the Apex but this is it. NO LAG at all. It’s ungodly fast and yet I actually got better gas mileage and no over heating even though conditions were so-so. Even the small things are better - the hand warmers actually work worth a damn and the controls are much easier to reach and use. I just can’t say enough about this sled. My only concern is that damn cat chain case.

The good thing is that the TY website has identified issues and cures for the weaknesses in our SWs...all it takes is a little preventive and regular maintenance. The SW is no Apex[the reality of the times]..they need way more TLC and then they are reliable awesome sleds!

indeed, I spent this summer doing all of those preventative duties ( BOP bearing wedge, hose protectors, reduced secondary offset, hi temp copper grease on turbo bolts, etc. Fingers crossed!

Congrats! Great sled I'm on the the same one with all up grades! 4000km on it now. Replaced gear bushing this fall with 2600km and it was toast.
