I figure its better to do the maintanance now than in the middle of winter when you cant get the parts and it causes you down time..
I should be good for another two seasons after all this work..
TOM... i knew it wouldnt be long before you called me out on that one.. LMAO..
Hopefully we will get some snow in DEC and i will be able to ride with you guys this year..

Let's hope not. My singing career is over. That reminds me of the show on TV, America's Got Talent.
I just hope there is snow this year like that year. I'm looking forward to it.

How much material is left on your slides when you are changing them. Just wondering because the yamaha slides ALWAYS wear through the first 1/2-3/4 of material very quickly, then stop wearing if you are in good snow conditions. Many people freak out that there slides worn down so fast and change them but they are still good for several thousand miles of good riding. Personally i drill holes in mine all along the length of the slide so that you can look through the holes and see exactly how much material is left at a given time. Works well.

Holes, huh? Never thought of that. There is a wear line on those slides. When the wear hit that line, I think there is still about 1 or 2 mil. left. I haven't used Yamaha slides in awhile, as I have the Expert, but that is what comes to mind????

Just buy a new sled every year and then you dont have to maintain them. Heck go and get two new sleds and use one half the season, park it and use the second. At the end of the year trade them off. :ORC
I personally like tinkering with my sled, sometimes I just tear it down to see how it goes back together.
As long as its not when the snow flies!
