Does anyone know what size these wheels are? They are in the Yamaha parts and accesories cat. I'm thinking 3.25" but not 100% on that.
Thanks

I bought the front wheel kit and two of the mid wheel kits from Fix Power Sports. I was tired of burning through Hyfax on my Vector and don't want to have to worry about it on the Nytro. I will check the diameter tonight and post it.

The wheels I have are 2 3/4" dia. The kits are mounted in existing holes in the rails so that obviously limits the dia of the wheels.

I think this is the one I got from my dealer.

If I remember right it required me to drill through the rails.

Can you give an update on the hyfax life after you put the wheels on?

The ones for my APEX are 3.25" w/6004 bearing which is replaceable and I think YAM all use the same type on their kits...

I was looking at the Fix setup but it was so much more than the Yamaha kit. Can you tell me what the difference is between the Fix and Yamaha kits?
Thanks!

So has anyone changed the bearing on the FIX wheel kit. I called them and they don't even know what size it is. Go figure.. I need to change mine or I have to buy a new wheel.

I put the marginal snow kit on my 07 Apex last year. Slide wear is almost non-existent now, the sled glides a lot better, and the engine runs much cooler, I imagine due to less drag. Had to drill a hole at the front of the slide rails in front of the other 2 wheels, but installation time was less than 1 hour. They are well worth the investment. Wig

Thanks for the input! I ordered two kits from my dealer. Planning on putting one in the front where the rails bend up and one towards the back to help with slider wear.
Anyone else have two sets on? Is it helping????

I have 2 low snow kits on my Apex as well, one in the bend in the front rail and one towards the back of the skid. They are worth the money, greatly help with slider wear.

The marginal wheel mount (the kit that requires drilling)won't fit on the front of the rail without some
help from a rubber hammer.Real tight on the rail curve. This is if you want to put it in the front empty hole that is already there in the rail.
Even then the hole in the mount and the one in the rail don't line up so you would need to drill/file the rail hole to make it line up.
Same thing for the rear. The marginal wheel mount hole doesn't line up
with the lower first empty hole in the rail a bit behind the last middle wheel.Drilling a new hole makes for alot of holes on the rail back there.
At least thats how the mounts that I had on on my Apex seem to line up.
I think they are the same ones.
Bearings are replacable.Mine were shot when I checked them.Had 2000 miles on them and they were at the rail bend on my Apex.
Getting a set of the inner wheels with bolts and mounts seems like a good but expensive idea.(order 2 sets of needed parts for rear use).
Seems to fit better on the rail and without modding or drilling another hole out.
