Got mine today and I put it on the bone stock Viper with 2 miles on it to test. Only thing from stock is primary spring change with 3mm spacer. WOW that can made a difference as far as "seat of the pants dyno" going down an asphalt side street .
VERY PLEASED! As long as it does not get louder or come apart I will be one happy camper. Only criticism would be it has a little bark when wound up but I guess that is unavoidable. Its not real loud just noticeable.
I can't believe the change in this Viper with just the clutch fix and this can.

You'll be amazed at how much quiter it gets once on snow. Same with the D&D quiet can I had on mine. On the shop floor it really cracked..on snow if you were watching it sounded completely stock. But yes no doubt there is power to be gained with exhaust. I gained 2 full sled lengths mid range with mine and that was with a buddy racing side by side. When the stock viper would calm down in the 60-70mph range the quiet can would kick in there and had awesome pull to 100+
What are you guys doing for clutching with this muffler? How much RPM increase are you seeing? If it's working well, RPM's should be increasing and need a little clutch tweaking.

With my quiet can I didn't have much over rev until like 60mph and up. With my original clutch setup it was pinging the rev limiter hard at 104 on ice. Never got a chance to try it on ice after clutching was dialed in but after I got it tuned right it was consistent 100-102 in 1000' on hard pack. Before it was pushing it hard to get 100..it would do it but u had to work hard for it. The mid range is what I noticed was the best gain

My best guess because I didn't do a lot of testing down the side street was about 600 to 800 increase. See my post about adding a clutch shim to the primary for clutch setup if you don't buy a kit.

I saw an increase in rpm's, I thought I had the clutching figured out at 8,900 rpm's with my stock muffler....then added the MBRP can and was hitting the rev limiter. So right there is an increase of 200-300 rpms minimum. I added more weight and was at 9,000 so I would have to say a true increase of 400-500 rpm's.
Friday July 11th will be Real Street Drag night where I will be doing a crap load of testing on the Viper. Bringing everything I have as far as clutching and stock exhaust/MBRP exhaust.

Yes you can get to the chain adjuster with the MBRP Can.

Is this evaluation for the race can or the trail can? I just installed the trail can and wondering what I have to look forward to this winter clutching wise.
Nice looking piece. All stainless and tig welded. Fit nice. Uses the stock rubber mounts. Glad I had a new gasket laying around. Access for adjusting the chain is sufficient. Sounds nice in the shop.

Trail can evaluation on my part.
If totally stock and adding trail can you will probably want to adjust clutch, but that depends on where you are now. Ride it and see if you hit the rev limiter first. Don't trust the tach as it reads slow but listen if you have a weird miss at full throttle. More power is hard on 8jp belt so I strongly suggest 8dn belt.

^ I actually did do the 8DN swap recently. From what I have read, changing out the 8Jp to the 8dn results in a loss of a couple hundred peak rpms. That being the case, gaining a couple hundred r's with this can may very well result in a wash. Ie, might be happy with it doing nothing more.
Or not. Just have to wait and see.

I realize that this is an older thread, but any update from Zrxpilot or Stingray719 on the results of the can and new belt combo?

I got my sled out for like 20 minutes this year (and in less than stellar conditions).
It seemed to run just fine. Sounded nice but put absolutely no faith in this assessment.
