darting
Was up at the U.P. this past week had my new Bergs triple points on 07 Attak stock ski's shimmed to scotts specs.with 3/8 savers And it was a wild ride.Left Watersmeet went to Greenland stopped at Pat's he told me to put one
woody dulley on the left ski that would stop the darting I paid him to do it
rode the rest of the day.Still had darting not near as bad without the dulley went back to Pats the next day told him still had some darting he had the mechanic put another dulley on the rightside.these are 6 inch dulley's . That pretty much cleared the problem up.Iam happy with the
way it handles now.

I was up in the UP this past weekend, we left from our backyard in Rhinelander on Friday morining and put on 140 miles and very little to zero darting. On Saturday we put on 175 miles and again no darting, the only other sled that had no darting was my wife"s renagade. The other sleds with us had darting problems all day.On Sunday we only put on 90 miles cause it was just plain COLD out. Again no darting isusses.
I run the USIs triple threats with 8" triple points with ski savers and shimmed my skis also.My milage was 15 to 16 on the average to.

I have tried ski's, Dualy's, Duece's, Shim's, And the complete Bergstrom setup on a friends Apex and the Snowtracker's flat out blow them all away. 100% eliminates darting, feel's like power steering compared to the Bergstrom setup and even lighter than the stock bar's, My milage and topend is the same. They bite like a SOB in the corner's (no push) They are self sharpening so the way they turn when new stays the same till they are shot. They claim they will last about the same as two to three set's of conventional bars and the way it look's with 400 mi on them i would have to agree. I looked at them when they came and i thought they would steer hard and scrub off top end but all the snow cuting part's are very thin, The bar is 1/4" compared to 1/2" host bar so the taller tracker does not bother top end and the defuser is like 1/8" only. My Apex is realy a pleasure to ride now. Every one that has ridden my sled with them on just say's WOW!! I talked to my contact at Yamaha today and they are taking a look at the tracker's as we speak. kviper

kviper,
these sno-trackers do have my interest. It seems as though they would be good for heavy snow areas, but I wonder about our crappy cornfield and plowed fields here in the midwest with lower snow areas. Would they hold up in these conditions do you think? Wonder if they make something for the ski-doo pilots? Its my only complaint with these sleds is the darting, then if you fix the darting you end up with something that pushes. Its been a balancing act thus far with the stuff I have tried.

My thought's exactly on the balancing act, Till now, A happy medium at best. I am in central Wi and have hit some plowed field's with them and they took a few shot's with no problem's sofar. I have the semi agressive setup on the stock ski's on my Apex. I am quite sure they have a pilot setup. I had to order them through Royle distributing. (800)265-2970 It took about two week's to get them. All i can say sofar is they made the Apex a real pleasure to ride. Time will tell the durability and wear story. kviperKnappAttack said:kviper,
