Minnesota Riders

Convert-No, I don't ride an RX-1, I ride a 99 SRX. I usually ride around the Pine River, Backus, Hackensack area, don't venture over towards 64 very often. I only live about 7-8 miles from where 64 meets 87, but the ditches are not very good to ride in around there, so I typically go back in the woods on trails. A couple times a winter I trailer over to Park Rapids to ride the Heartland and trails up around that area, as last year there was really good snow over there. I go to school in Morris, so I make it back a couple weekends a month to ride. I would be happy to ride with you anytime you are up in the area and if it works out for the both of us. Will talk to you when you get back.

Convert,

Now that you're home... And the TY-ON trip is postponed until next season... how about setting a date for the TY-MN trip.... how about March 12, 13, 14, 15 ish....?

Kmer

Sounds like a good weekend for me If we have 5 or less going we can all stay at my place for free anyone else got any input? Can always squeeze in a couple more if necessary Kmer is always looking for a good time LOL

KMer, it just happens that I plan to be in northern Minnesota that week. My better half and I will probably head up towards Voyager's. I am kind of waiting to see how the weather is that week, but we will be riding on the 12th and heading back to Mpls on the 13th. Maybe we can hook up.

Sounds good. We're planning to meet at Convert's cabin on Friday (12th) afternoon, so if you're in the area... (I'm waiting for directions).

Convert, just so happens that I will be home on spring break starting March 5-March 14. If you guys are still planning a ride, I might be able to make it over for a day or something. Hopefully the snow holds up. Let me know what you guys are planning, and where you plan to ride.

Just came back from up north temps and rain have pretty much destroyed the trails. Lets hope this weeks storm dumps pretty good or we may have to go out of state to ride

Out of state, eh? How about Ontario? or B.C. even? There's a big ride in Revy comin' up..... now that you ARE the 'mountain man' ... you can show us how to do it :D :p

I figured the warm weather probably did a number on the snow that was left. Where are you thinking of going to ride now? I'm thinking of going to International Falls, assuming they have some left.

For now I'm playing it by ear we have about 12 days to replenish the snow or we will have to go elsewhere. I know were always welcome up Kmer's way so thats always an option if you don't mind hangin out with such an ugly dude  International falls maybe another option or maybe the Arrowhead somewhere!

Convert,

I rode a little bit around here last weekend and the trails were surprisingly good. There is still a little snow left around and I am going out this weekend to see if I can't find enough to ride on back in the woods. You gonna be here this weekend?

Convert, I just got back this morning (long flight) from riding up near Lake Vermilion over the weekend. The Arrowhead trail was in pretty good shape from Lake Vermilion up to I-Falls. Groomers were out on Thursday and the ride was pretty good.

Did get a little riding in up in the Paul Bunyon Park area this weekend trails to get there were pretty beat up but passable. Kmer came down for the weekend great finally meeting him :) sounds like our only decent riding is in the arrowhead area seasons almost over for us this year :( Sunday was a lot of fun got 2 inches over night and the drifts were 4- 5 feet in a lot of places along the trail 40 mph winds so lots of drifts. Ah well almost time to get the boat back in the lake :D
