How far north in minnesota do any ridable trails exist, is there snow in Brianerd or grandrapids area? If the storm hits central and northern minnesota, is there a trail base now or will this be the first snow on the trails?

Trails were "rideable" after last weeks snow north of Duluth, with the 5-12" we got yesterday I think they will be just fine for this weekend. I have about 20" of powder in my yard on the Iron Range.

Areas north of Duluth got pounded with snow last night. Another foot of snow is expected on Tuesday night into Wednesday. I've been hearing the Ash River area is looking good.

I was up in Ely last week, saw about 12" on the ground, didn't get to any trails, I had my kids with and was teaching them to ride, so we stayed on the lake. My wife has agreed to going up again this weekend, I was wondering how much snow everybody got up there. I want make hotel reservations, since it's her birthday, and I want know who got what for snow. I was thinking of either going to Brainard, Hibbing/Chisholm/Virginia or Ely...

snow

What a depressing year in southern minnesota biggest storm of the year and we are going to get up to 1.5 inches rain and no snow here in southern minnesota and up to 20 inches in northern part of state, Due to finances and work a trip up north wont work out, and all that snow Who ever lives in northern minn enjoy your snow and blast down a few freshly groomed trails this coming weekend for me, I will just sit and look at the pictures u guys post. Oh poor me :o| enjoy the snow

For those of us in the Fargo/Moorhead area, we have been beating up the White Earth area for the past month or so. It has been only spot with snow other than the north shore for the longest time.

I did get word from the Forest Riders trail club north of Park Rapids that they received between 10-12" this past weekend. They were firing up the groomers Sunday night.

After this next storm, I would bet you should be able to ride anywhere. But hit the club websites to see if they have been grooming for sure.

Good luck, go get it!!

Plan on heading north this weekend not sure where yet. Did duluth get more snow out of this storm how are the trails? Also is there any snow around the leech lake area? What about the orr area any input would be great. Thanks

180 miles on today on the trails north of Grandrapids and Hibbing, plenty of base and most were just groomed. Most of yesterday's storm stayed south of the Iron Range , we got maybe another 2" even though they said 7-13"
