Opps. Just woke up. No I do not use a Yamaha cover, I do use a Fleet Farm thin cover for inside my trailer. That dose fit.

I picked up and installed a set of the Arctic Cat windshield mount mirrors...I must say they look pretty slick. I hope they do the trick.

I need the cover to go over it before I can mout them.

No I haven't, but I don't think I'll have a problem. I have a stretchy cover from Skinz, plus i used to have an extra tall windshield on it and the cover had fit fine then.

Double check the template that comes with the instructions. With mine, the holes didn't line up ...template was useless...did it with naked eye, or make your own template.

Dry fit it first, then drill one hole and go from there. Mine are mounted a little lower than I'd like...might mount them on my extra tall windshield should the need arise...then they could be mounted higher up.

dont fool around with those panel mount mirrors you will just end up with holes in your panels where they used to be mounted.

I removed the panel mounted mirrors as well and came up with a emblem/patch to cover up the holes etc.
Emblems have adhesive and I also used large head plastic rivets.
Had 2 sets made up, have 1 set extra if anyone is interested PM me.

Yup same here. Tamplate was useless. Measured and marked on windshield with black marker then test fitted. Was very easy. Just put a 2.5 "lakeefect riser on. Know the view is even better. Hope this all works out for everyone.

I have the same lake effect riser, I'll have them Friday so I'll install them Saturday. This should be an awesome add on.

I have the previous generation AC mirrors on my 08 Vector Ltx. Looked great, but they shook like crazy. Not sure if the newer ones are any lighter or not but the windshield wasn't strong enough to hold them steady enough to see what was in the mirror. Maybe if you put a cross brace connecting both mirrors might help out the windshield flex.

I made brackets out of plastic hockey rink board, and stuck spot mirrors on them. Work great for viewing bombi headlights.

no trouble seeing around your body? I was thinking about putting a set on the inside but figured they wouldn't be away from my body enough to see behind me.

The back view is between your elbow and knee, under the bars, if you are in a slight corner they work better.Running straight you sometimes need to sit up a bit to look over the bars into them, but they do not vibrate and work well enough to see the lights behind you.
