I agree I see no benefit from starting another forum for the same model. If Yamaha thought it was that much different from the original they would have named it as a different model. As other members have said ask your questions they will get answered or at least discussed.

So since the kids SRX has the same name at the old SRX they should be under the same tab?
If is a Totally redesign, new tab / mid cycle refress, same tab.
Anyways that's my 2 cents for now. Lol

The Vectors also got EPS, a different engine with fuel injection and the rider forward delta box 2. They didn't add a new tab for that. I haven't had any issues with the current tabs.

I guess I was explaining it wrong.... Something more like they have under "Classifieds" and Sub-Forums: Units, partsm mis...ect
ie: Main: APEX
Sud-forums. (2006-2010) , (2011-201X)
So not a new tab...but a sub-forum?
At one point things will have to split...things can't continue this way forever...especially if the Apex name lives on into a new decade...

This would be the best option I think. But if it stays the same until something fundamental changes - like a factory turbo or something - I'm fine with it

The problem I have is that the users that are currently here cant keep the posts in the correct current section now and It will require more moderation to keep it clean and organized.... then there will be post that cover both sleds and then we will have problems putting those in the correct section..... as well as who is going to go thru the current Apex section and move all that is there now into the correct forum.... we all have day jobs and time right now is very slim.

Hey MrSled, First thank you for a great site...I'm willing to help Mod and keep things clean and organised......I'm sure there are other that are willing to help also... but in the end its your decision.

I would also be interested in helping out. I have plenty of time at work to be in this site all day as it is now. Let me know if this is something you would be interested in.

After talking with MrSled, the main reasons for not subdividing are simply because members have a hard enough time posting in the correct forums already, and also as stated, which forum do you post in when it concerns all models of Apex? Adding more subforums will just make things more confusing to TY users.....even though you'd think it would make things less complicated...time and experience have proven otherwise.

To me its know different then a 98-99 SRX, then Yamaha made updated to at 2000.... and there a pile of updates... still an SRX.
I will give it more thought thru-out the season and make the change at the end if I feel that it will benefit...
Then the Vector Guys will want it... then the SRX guys will want it... on and on...for now it works and I am happy with the site as it is.
