As a trail rider I always have had at least 1 mirror so I can tell if someone is coming up behind me or more importantly if the sled following in our group is still there. Looking at the Yamaha it seems they mount the mirrors with telescoping arms to the hood. Cat in the other hand mounts to the windshield. Looking for input as to preference/experience with these two styles.

I purchased the Yamaha mirrors and did not put them on. I think they mount way to low and will be useless. Ended up pruchasing a set of Nytro mirrors with the hand guards that mount to the bars. I feel they work darn good. The hand guards will touch the windshield when making a sharp turn but doesent seem to be a problem.

I have the powermadd hand guards with built in mirrors, they work very well.

Thanks guys
Looks like the Cat mirrors are going to be my choice. I'm looking to avoid handlebar mounted mirrors.
