I agree with your responses, but thats my point. Take an older RX and thow on a better skid and skis, and then you have an Apex or Attak. With what used Rx's are getting for trade in, why trade?
If only it were that easy. But it's not. I had new ski's, custom seat, forward bars among other things. It did not ride like my Attak. It's a completely different ride. I learned my lesson on the Rx's. Don't dump a bunch of money trying to make it ride like a rev. It won't work. I didn't get to changing out the skid because I've ridden others that have those expensive suspensions. That wasn't going to be enough to get it to handle aggressively in the bumps. Don't get me wrong the RX is a great sled, but for my riding it just didn't meet my wants. I'm sure if I rode some of those Canada trails I'd not have switched. It's an awesome sled when everything is smooth.
My Attak on the other hand, this year I didn't dread when it was bumpy. I'll keep it for quite a while getting mileage on it just like you'll be keeping your RX.
