Missing the Point of 4 Strokes?

I agree with your responses, but thats my point. Take an older RX and thow on a better skid and skis, and then you have an Apex or Attak. With what used Rx's are getting for trade in, why trade?

If only it were that easy. But it's not. I had new ski's, custom seat, forward bars among other things. It did not ride like my Attak. It's a completely different ride. I learned my lesson on the Rx's. Don't dump a bunch of money trying to make it ride like a rev. It won't work. I didn't get to changing out the skid because I've ridden others that have those expensive suspensions. That wasn't going to be enough to get it to handle aggressively in the bumps. Don't get me wrong the RX is a great sled, but for my riding it just didn't meet my wants. I'm sure if I rode some of those Canada trails I'd not have switched. It's an awesome sled when everything is smooth.

My Attak on the other hand, this year I didn't dread when it was bumpy. I'll keep it for quite a while getting mileage on it just like you'll be keeping your RX.

I found that the longer skid of the RX-Mountain had more travel and better manners than the shorter skids of the 121 and 136. Once I had a load on the tow hitch, the travel would be comparable to having a 300lb rider and this was the smoothest travel with this extra load on the skid. It seems that the old skid was set up for heavier riders as it works better with more weight.

My $0.02, but like I stated before, I like others up here, run our machines until they literally drop...

I totally agree. The Apex/Attak is a complete different sled than any RX-1/Warrior. I got a chance to ride one this winter and I really liked it a lot. It is a cold sled though if you do high speed stuff for hours on end.

I really hope that the adjustable seats and windshields Cat has come up with along with the adjustable handlebars Polaris came up with eventually make it to all brands. This along with being able to equip your sled the way you want it when you order it would elminate so many of the problems people have getting their sleds right for them. It would really hurt the aftermarket companies, but the consumer would be a clear winner.

That would be awesome for those of us who want longer front travel of the regular touring models, with the length and suspension we want from the mountain series which translates into better towing capability.

The 4 stroke fuel mileage and the other benefits far outweigh its weight...It actually makes it more suitable for towing heavy loads via tow ropes.
