That is where I went to get the info I needed. Currently running and will continue to use Mobil-1 0W-40 "European Formula".
A lot of peeps it seems also run Mobil-1 0W-30 with the "Green Cap", I believe it is high mileage or long life oil but either way, it is hard or almost impossible to find in Southern Ontario.

Thanks to everyone for their help, I learned lots about oil today!! The strange thing is that after putting in three quarts of oil, the dip stick( not threaded inn) indicated that it was still down half a quart!!! I drained it from the crank case, reservoir tank & from the oil filter screen hose...did not change the filter!
Thought it was only supposed to take 2.8 - 3.0 liters

If you need to add anything to your oil, you are buying the wrong oil.langow said:If you're concerned about additives just buy some ZDDP oil additive and put it in your tank. Available on line from several locations.

Your opinion i guess. It all depends on what your motivations are really. Mobil 1 is readily available to me and inexpensive. It's a high quality synthetic. Yes, it's made for automotive use, therefore it's add pack may require help if used in high revving sled. "May" being the key word.
I know many many people running this in their sleds without adding anything to it and no issues since day one. I've spent a lot of time reading these forums and have yet to read a thread about ANY particular oil causing harm to our motors. Based on that, I doubt whether there is even such a thing as "the wring oil". Anyway, if there is concern, ZDDP is an option for peace of mind. That my opinion and I'm sticking to it. LOL
