Creeping up on the 800 km mark and my wife is away this weekend on some girls trip so I will spend some time doing some maintenance. I normally use Amsoil 0-40 Synthetic in my toys but was at Canadian tire today and they had Mobil 1 4.4L jugs at over $18 off. I bought a couple of jugs of the European Car Formula 0-40. Anyone have any issues or opinions on this? I use Mobil 1 in my trucks religiously and have never had a problem. Look forward to the feedback. If it is no good I can take it back.

Thanks

That's what I put in mine... Seems fine so far..

As I have read elsewhere on TY ... modern Energy Conserving automotive oils lack additives that ARE present in that oil, making it quite suitable for our sleds. Lots of opinions of course but the bottom line is that many knowledgeable members here use and endorse Mobil 1 European Formula.

Personally I'm sticking to Grecian Formula until I can afford the new rug.

Thanks gents, that is what I figured. I did some additional research and it meets or exceeds API SN certification as well so it is a good quality oil. $34 bucks a jug at Can Tire if you are looking for some. Sale ends tomorrow.

Every vehicle in my fleet that requires oil (aside my 2s GP1200) gets Mobil 1.

I just use Yamalube. I might use something different if I did my own oil changes, but that's what my dealer uses.

Have been using 0-40 Mobil 1 for years...no issues here. Like I've said before, I honestly think these engines are so good you could pour vegetable oil in and they'd run fine! ;)!

Good price Thanks maybe I'll stop at CT tomorrow and get a few jugs
I cringe when I pick up yama lube from dealer at close to 20$ a liter
With 2 sleds it's pricey

Amsoil is good but it's not irreplaceable. I've been running Mobile One, 0w40 for several years in my Yamaha's. I also run Mobile One full synthetic in all my vehicles including two Harley's.
