Thanks. Ill take it apart and have a look at it. I used super glue on the hoses and thay have not move since.

I find if I get snow in mine, it's usually coming in through the vent on the chinbar. Close the vent, no more snow and it's warmer.

well i've had a modular for about 5 years now and just this year it has started getting louder (air whistleing) and leaking cold air in and letting snowdust in , i believe the snow dust is coming down from the top of the shield, it seems to only come in on the left side. the air leak i have no idea why or where (haven't realy taken the time to look at it)
I do know that on extremely cold days, you want to have the chin curtain on to prevent getting frost burn on your cheeks!
I am thinking that maybe some of the weatherstripping has become deformed and perhaps the holes in the shield where it pivots have gotten worn not keeping it snug in the the helmet?
thanks for the flashlight trick, i will try that and see what i can come up with , i have some window weatherstripping (self adhesive) and some razorblades.
Overall i LOVE the helmet, i just don't understand why it has never been a problem until now?
