Well I took it apart and everything and dried it out and put it together correctly. Took it out today and there was still frost on the display. I've decided that its unavoidable and I'm sick of tinkering with stuff so that's how its going to have to be.

probably just humidity from inside the house. when the plastic gets cold the inside air is still warm and condensation appears. mine does it when it gets very cold out and clears itself after less than an hour of riding. probably because of internal heat. if you tried everything well you should be alright.
