Last week I posted that I had a dual rate spring installed by Hy-Gear, but that I had not had a chance to ride yet,(no snow in Iowa). Someone asked that I please post how it is working when I finally get a chance to ride. Well we finally got some snow, and went out for a short ride this morning. We had some really deep and rough stuff in the ditches, so I got a chance to run her pretty hard. I only bottomed out once, and it was just slight tap instead of a spine crusher like before. I still have 7 notches to go for stiffness, so I can give her a little more if I have to. I wiil post again when I get more ride time.

I have also changed springs on my Ohlins elec shock to a triple rate setup from Eibach, but we are still waiting for snow in Michigan, it was almost 50 degrees today, so it doesn't look good for winter this year in the great lakes. #$%&* Maybe mother nature will get pissed at us and slam us with a big old nor'easter. Until then there will be no joy in Mudville. :o|

Where in Iowa do you live??? I live in Iowa City, and if I knew there was snow somewhere I would have thrown my Apex back together and loaded up!! Since winter sucks so far, I decided to add a clutch kit, pipes, plugs, Dooleys, and paint the whole thing...

nate007 I live in Spirit Lake. We got about 4" on Sunday, and then wind like crazy Sunday night. Ditches full, but thats about all. Our lakes have opened up real bad again, and probably won't be safe for the rest of the winter. Never road on the lakes at all last year either. I don't know whats going on, used to get ice on the lakes at 1 to 2 ft thick.
