mono shock install

I just got my shock back from being redone and I took the cable off from the RA adjuster and put the cable on the shock and turned and pushed the square cable in the shock.Then I put the cable back on the RA adjuster.When I turn the adjuster it clicks down at the shock, took it apart and redid it again and the same thing happened.Is this the norm after having a revalve.Had Bruce do it at Pioneer.

Did you time the dial with the shock before you put it together? The cable turns opposite the dial so turn the dial all the way clockwise till it stops with the cable disconnected from the shock. Now useing a small screwdriver turn the adjuster in the shock all the way counterclockwise till it stops, now reinstall the cable and see how it works.

Yes I set the adjuster to full hard before install.But I will try this before I take it out for a spin.

actually the manual says the oppisit direction, but i dont think it should matter as long as there both all the way oppisit from each other. i know i wasnt sure mine was working right when i put a new one in and took it back apart to check and it was.

Maybe I'm missing something, I thought that you put the dail on full hard, about 11:00 and turn the shock valve clockwise till it bottoms out ?

Well I took it apart and it was together right. When I reclocked the shock I could hear and feel each adjustment on the shock.Went riding and it is way better than stock.I got the 6.5 KG/MM spring part # pp-8fu-891.
Should have done this last year.
