Some old school info needed:
i made a 4 tube monometer (all 4 lines are linked with tees) question : I have to pull the hoses coming off the top of the carbs to the intercooler in order to access the screws. Do I need to plug the 2 hoses?
Additionally; is it correct to have all 4 tubes tied together or should they be in pairs or singles.
I used 2 stroke oil as the fluid so if I inject any it's not a big deal.
Lines are 8 feet each so I have time to react if I mess up and one line starts to draw too much fluid.
Some days I wish FI was more affordable....but it has been very reliable since 2009.

Many thanks,
Barry

Barry,
I think if all 4 carbs are T'd together with the manometer then the vacuum you are reading will be equalized, as one system. If your intent is to sync the carbs you need to measure differential between the carbs, like one manometer between 1 & 2 and another between 3 & 4 then compare to each other.
I don't think you'd have to plug the two CV slide diaphragm vent hoses as they aren't producing vacuum.

Thanks For the reply...yes I thought the same as your advise however, some r1 bike guys said to tee them all together
but it wasn't making any sense to me on a physics level...the vacuum would be all over the place and nullify the three adjusting screws.
I agree with your points exactly thanks for the info!
I'm going 1-2 then 3-4

Barry
