Just got back from Cooke City, Montana and all I can say is WOW!! - what an experience - took my son out (he graduates this year) for his graduation gift from me - had an awesome time - hooked up with BlgsRX-1mtn in Billings and he rode all week with us - he knows the area like the back of his hand - anyone of you that want to ride this area, get with BlgsRX-1mtn and he will show you the sites - just don't let him take you through any creek beds!! - right Jim? LOL - thanks again Jim, it was an awesome time that my son and I will be talking about for a long, long time! - here are just a few of the hundreds of photo's I took - enjoy!!! ;)!

LOL have shovel; will build road. It was great meeting you guys and showing you the sites. Sorry the SCRX-1Mtn blew the blower belt on you before you got a chance to see how well it launches from a stop. I'll get my pictures posted in the near future.

.........have shovel; will build road.....LOL - we got er done though!

I was starting to wonder what happened to you - hadn't seen you on here since we got back - we are definetly going to come back out there again sometime - might have to turn it into a annual thing!! - Hey I rode that sled just enough to know two things - it's friggen fast and I want one!! - I'm just glad that belt was all it was!! - let me know if you want to see anymore pictures - I got a bunch of them - great time - thanks again! ;)! ;)!

Dennis,

I'm experiencing PC issues (still working on the bugs). That's why I'm not on much. Going to test ride a couple Big Dog Motorcycles this weekend if it doesn't snow. If it snows; it looks like another trip to Cooke City for me and the Mrs. Sounds like a "win-win" situation either way. Hopefully I can get these PC issues ironed out and get the pics posted.

Post more if you got them. Pics are allways nice to look at.

Jim

OK the PC issues are resolved (I think). Here's the pictures from my camera including the SCRX-1 ready to be towed after the broken blower belt. By the way I like the alien look with the moto helmets sans visors. ;)!

It was definately a fun time. You have to admit though; visibility in the creek bed was definately 2000% better than up top on that day. :drink: Between the two situtions; it made the riding interesting to say the least (even for me). Especially when I did my best to make an APEX hood ornament out of you in the creek bed. :exc:

Those are some sweet pictures - I like the way you snuck the "Yammiman Stuck" one in the middle!! LOL - it was a great time - only regret is not having my camera out when you went on your side and when Chris almost lost that sled back down the mountain!! - I would be still paying for the trip if he wouldn't have saved her!! - I'll put up a few more pictures tonite - have you been back over to Cooke again yet?

Wife and I had a trip lplanned for last weekend but, I canceled on her. I went to Sheridan WY to test ride some Big Dog Motorcycles rather than go sledding (I must be sick or smething ;)! . I ended up buying an '05 Mastiff in a Black Cherry Candy with Candy Red "Reverse Ghost Flames", 117 CI S&S Motor, Vance & Hines "Big Radius Pipes/Jetting, 300 mm wide rear tire and passenger necessities (Pegs, Pillion etc.) :bling .

It rolled off the assembly line the Feb. 21st and should be here for me to take delivery later this week or sometime next week. Here's the pictures of it that my dealer got right after exit off the assembly. Sorry to post them her but putfile is down (I have an account for free hosting with them).

Jim - sweet bike!! - that will be fun this summer riding through the switchbacks!! - I'm still in sledding mode - having a great year - just got back from a great time in the U.P. and have a trip to Canada coming up next week - don't think any of it tops the Montana trip though!! - I'll keep in touch and possibly do it again next year! - are you going to supercharge that BigDog?!?! LOL

If they make a SC kit for the BD; I'll definately run one. I know some partners with MPI make a Harley kit but I'm not sure about if there's one for the 117 CI S&S. According to the salseman (we know how reliable they can be); the 117 S&S with a Vance & Hines pipe and jetting will put 108 hp to the wheel. I'll have to see if that's enough.

I'm still in sledding mode also but the 70+ temps today in Billings made me wish the Bike was in my hands. It's at the dealer (it's an '07 btw not an '05 as stated above) but still waiting on the accessories to be delivered and installed.

Kind of figured it was an 07 - our Canada trip got canceled - 56 degrees here today - it is suppose to cool down by the end of the week, so we might get one more ride in - can't thank you enough for the the trip - we are still talking about it - we will definetly come out again whether it is next year or not we will be back! - enjoy the summer and that BigDog and I will keep in touch - regards - Dennis (Yammiman)

You guys are more than welcome to come out again. As is anybody else that wants to experience the Rocky Mountains. The next time you guys make it out you should get a better idea of how the SCRX runs and hopefully Tura (the BOSS) will be able to make the trip. Next seasaon I'll have GPS also and keep everybody out of the deep creek bottoms.

Between getting the new bike and bad snow conditions (reports are that they are currently seeing conditions not seen until mid-late may) my season is more than likely done now. I didn't get near the miles I had hoped on the sled (about 800) but now I have spare belts for the SC and will make sure I carry race fuel just in case the Yammi shop is out.

Jim

:bump:

Hey Dennis, any more pics? I need a snow fix :drink: . Riding the Bike in this heat sucks :o| . So far.... 2000 miles on it.

Jim

I've got quite a few more I can post - been real busy this year and haven't thought alot about riding - I also herniated two disc in my back and I'm in the process of trying to fix them up - might have to take a season off as a preventative measure - so the bike is treating you well? - 2000 miles is a good season and it is only July! - sounds like you are riding it quite a bit - glad to hear all is well - Dennis

Sorry to hear about the back injury. Hope it heals up good for you without needing a surgery to fuse the disks.

Yeah the the bike is running great and the handeling is better than I expected. Gotta love that 117 C.I S&S motor too. It accelerates alot like my old Kawasaki ZX-11 without the same crazy top end speeds. I figure now that I'm mariied and older I don't need to see 160+ MPH speeds anyhow.

If you can; post some more pictures or E-mail them to me at jtbutcher1753@bresnan.net. I've been pretty busy too. Finally got tired of the issues with the old PC. So I broke down and bought a new HP Pavillion a1419h with a Media Center Edition of Windows XP.
