Hi, I have a fellow rx-i mountain buddy and he's got an oil leak on the crank case. while trying to remove the engine the long mounting bolt on the rear of engine . he has tried for for about a month to get that bolt out.We live oceanside and our machines are subjected to salt air in the off season. he is not aware of this website, so I am pinch hiitting for him.thanks to any blue bloods with some suggestions.

hey thanks ,I'll pitch that by him and see if he tried that.

Put a nut on the chaincase side so you can pound it out about a quarter inch . Then get ahold of it with a vicegrip and twist it back and forth. By twisting it the corrosion should come off enough to pull it out, Ken.

iknow better than to pound on a bolt threads but good advice for our less mechanically inclined individuals, and again thanks for your reply
