Anyone try the mountain seat(higher and softer) on their trail viper or 7000 and if so how did you like it.

Is the mountain seat on sidewinder softer then standard seat on the RTX

I'm also curious. I find the stock Sidewinder LTX seat to be too hard. Is the BTX seat softer and more plush?

Agree, some pics an part number would be great. I like the higher seating position it appears to offer. Are they Yamaha OEM seats or aftermarket mountain seats?

Here it is on my RTX. I wouldn't say that the foam is any more or less firm than the stock seat. But because it is thicker, it seems a bit softer, while yet you do sit about 2 inches higher. It makes the transition from sitting to standing much easier, and I get less fatigue on my needs and inner thighs during all-day rides. Pounding through rough trails while seated is also easier.

The mountain seats foam does get softer over time I've noticed. When comparing mine to other lower mileage Sleds/seats in our group I notice right off the bat the seats are stiffer but they're also newer then mine.
Maybe I just have a fat #*$&@ ?
