Here is how I mounted my Magellan Triton 500. I bought the bracket off eBay for around $25. The only problem is it can't be adjusted or tilted. I may upgrade to a RAM mount if this one gives me problems but so far so good. There isn't much room on the handlebar for the bracket.

The next step is to install a 12 volt outlet to power the GPS. With a colour screen its really hard to see in the daylight without backlight. I may go back to my Garmin eTrex. I use it mostly to track speed, trip odo, time, altitude, and direction.

I installed a RAM mount today. It attaches to the windshield mount and gives you lots of adjustment - thanks to Treestump for the idea. Its rock solid. I highlight recommend them.

Looks Good!

I've got the same mount but I put it on the right of the gauge attached to the handlebars. The RAM mounts are great.

I have the Garmin Zumo 550 and with it comes the motorcycle mount a U-bolt that attaches to the bar then use the ram mount to secure the GPS. Have this mount on my ATV Honda Rincon, my Apex GT, my Phazer, my Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. Also have the car mount for my Chevy Tahoe and Honda Element, one gps that tranfers to any machine that I ride. Power is supplied by each machine throught a 12 volt plug. No problems with it for the three years so far and I loaded in VVmapping software for all the Snowmobile trails and ATV trails in Michigan, never get lost again.

I forgot to take pictures of it this week-end when I was at the cottage. Grrr.
My hardware looks identical to Cubby's but I mounted mine to the lower windshield bar and the GPS is now flush in height and sits right beside the dream meter. It almost looks "factory".
